The trombone has many famous players and peices. Some of them are:
Two famous trombone players are Frank Roslalino and Denis Wick. Frank Rosalino was among the most loved men in jazz music. He is one of the most finest trombone player in history. He was born in 1926 and he took his frist trombone lessons in grade 8 at the age of 14. At the age of 18 he joined the army and 86th division band and went overseas to the Philippines. His trombone career really started in 1952 when he was offered the jazz chair with the great Stan Kenton Band. Later on in his trombone career he went to many tours, he left and joined many bands, and did many other important performances that promoted his trombone playing. He later died in 1978 as a very well known and talented trombonist. Another famous trombonist is Denis Wick. Denis Wick was bron in 1931. He taught himself how to play the trombone at the young age of 10, and started joining bands from there. He is Britians most influentle trombonist of the 20th century. He served as the International Trombone Assoisiation preseident for two years. He is also an internationally respected brass teacher and disigner of brass mutes and mouthpeices.
Two famous peices that the trombone played were the Concerto for Alto Trombone composed by Leopold Mozart. Played in 1756. Another peice that is well known is the Contertino for Trombone Op 4 composed by Ferdinand David. Played in 1837.
